Use the AMI to launch a similar instance with ActiveMQ embedded

Once the status of the AMI is set to available, you can launch a new EC2 instance based on the AMI.

1. Ensure that you select the newly created AMI at the step 1. Choose AMI when launching the new instance.

   

2. For the Name tag, you will use a different name like ActiveMQ Broker Bis to avoid any confusion.

   

3. For all other values, keep the same as those that were used in previous sections to launch the first EC2 instance e.g.:
   • Choose the same instance type
   • Use the same security group ActiveMQ Security Group

4. Once the EC2 instance has finished launching, use putty to ssh into the instance.
