Qlik NPrinting Designer error: The RPC server is unavailable

Possible cause

You opened a Microsoft Excel template in the Qlik NPrinting Designer while there was another Microsoft Excel file open with a cell in edit mode.

Complete error message:

Qlik NPrinting can't find a supported reporting template editor for the file <File path/File name>

Error message:

The RPC server is unavailable.

Proposed action

Do the following:

Close the error message pop-up window and Qlik NPrinting Designer.
Exit from cell in edit mode in the other Microsoft Excel worksheet, or close Microsoft Excel.
Re-open the Qlik NPrinting Designer.
