Getting started with the Governance Dashboard
Getting started with the QlikView Governance Dashboard is very easy because no installation is required. Simply download the QVW and open it in QlikView. You can use the default configuration or customize it. Then run the initial reload to populate Governance Dashboard with your site's data.
Do the following:

Download the Governance Dashboard QVW file (Governance Dashboard.qvw) from Qlik Community.

Open the Governance Dashboard.qvw in QlikView Desktop.
The Dashboard page opens and displays the data from a scan used to create the download QVW.

Select Configuration in the upper right corner under Scan Details.
The Configuration page opens:

Select the type of scan profile to configure by turning on the User Configuration Script? button or leaving it turned off.
When the User Configuration Script? is turned on, a text box opens where the name of the file containing the user configuration script must be placed. If the file is in the default location (C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Documents\) you can enter the name of the file only. If it is not in the default location, you must enter the full path.
The format to use for the user configuration script is indicated below the text box.

Enter the Profile Directory path for the location where the output QVDs are to be stored.
If you leave Profile Directory blank, the QVDs are stored in the same folder as the Governance Dashboard.qvx.

Enter the QVW and QVD files to scan in the List of File Paths to Scan field.
Separate multiple file paths with vertical pipes (|).

Enter the paths to Server Log files to scan.
Separate multiple file paths with vertical pipes (|).

Enter the paths to Publisher Log files to scan.
Separate multiple file paths with vertical pipes (|).

Enter the paths to QlikView Repository files to scan.
Separate multiple file paths with vertical pipes (|).

Use the Months of History slider to select the number of months of history to load in the Governance Dashboard.

Use the Heatmap & Concurrency Days slider to select the number of days of session history to load for the Heatmap and Session Concurrency charts.
The number of days chosen affects the length of the initial reload.
If you change the session concurrency interval, you must remove the QVGD_Session_2.x.qvds, the QVGD_SessionConcurrency_2.x.qvd, and the QVGD_SessionHeatmap.qvd, and then reload the Governance Dashboard. -
Select the Session Concurrency Interval.
The shorter the interval, the more time the reload takes to generate the associated concurrency data, but the concurrency calculations are more accurate.
If you change the session concurrency interval, you must remove the QVGD_Session_2.x.qvds, the QVGD_SessionConcurrency_2.x.qvd, and the QVGD_SessionHeatmap.qvd, and then reload the Governance Dashboard. -
Select whether or not to keep extra fields for troubleshooting.
Selecting Yes on the Keep Extra Fields for Troubleshooting slider causes certain fields to be saved for troubleshooting purposes. Keeping the extra fields is not required for regular use of the Governance Dashboard.
