Support for Personal Access Tokens as a log in method via the Enterprise Manager API
From Enterprise Manager May 2023, customers can use Personal Access Tokens to log in to Enterprise Manager via the API. Using Personal Access Tokens is the recommended best practice, as it offers significant security benefits.
The high-level flow involves the following steps:
- Step 1: In Okta, create an app integration that uses OpenID Connect and assign users to it.

Step 2: In Enterprise Manager, enable Enterprise Manager to communicate with Okta (using the CLI)
- Step 3: In Enterprise Manager, generate a Personal Access Token
- Step 4: Configure the Enterprise Manager API to log in with a Personal Access Token
Tokens can also be revoked by an Enterprise Manager admin. To facilitate this, a new Personal Access Tokens tab has been added to the Enterprise Manager settings:
