Roles and permissions

Qlik Catalog interacts with two primary user roles, administrators and analysts. An administrator sets access controls and permissions by role group and functional requirements. Master analysts have additional permissions to edit metadata in discovery. Analysts take on a discovery role by being able to create user views and export datasets filtered for specific business purposes and analyses.
