Navigating the canvas

Talend Studio provides Select and Move modes for the graphical editor of Job, Joblet, Route, and Routelet. You can switch between the Select and Move mode by clicking the or icon on the toolbar of Talend Studio.

The Select mode is applied by default. In this mode, you can select component, Joblet, or Routelet in the canvas to edit them as needed. To navigate the canvas, you can hold your mouse wheel or the Space bar on your keyboard to switch to Move mode and drag the canvas to move around. When you release the mouse wheel or the Space bar, the editor switches back to Select mode.

In the Move mode, you can navigate the canvas by dragging it to move where you want. You cannot select component, Joblet or Routelet in the canvas. When you add a component, Joblet or Routelet to the canvas, the editor switches to Select mode automatically.
