Importing JRXML templates

You can import into the current Talend Studio the JRXML templates you create using a reporting tool or the JRXML templates that are defined by default in the data quality platform.

Importing user-defined JRXML templates

After creating personalized JRXML templates using a reporting tool, you can import these templates into Talend Studio, and then generate reports using these personalized templates.

Before you begin

  • You have selected the Profiling perspective.
  • The JRXML template is created and stored locally.

Procedure

  1. In the DQ Repository tree view, expand Libraries.
  2. Import the template:
    • Under the JRXML Template folder: Right-click JRXML Template and select Import JRXML.
    • Under a sub-folder: Right-click any sub-folder under JRXML Template and select Import JRXML.
  3. In the Open dialog box of your operating system, browse to the folder that contains the JRXML template you want to import.
  4. Select the JRXML template and click Open.
The imported template is displayed in the DQ Repository tree view under JRXML Template.

Importing built-in JRXML templates

To avoid creating a template from scratch, you can import into Talend Studio all the by-default JRXML files that are pre-defined in the platform.

You have selected the Profiling perspective.

Procedure

  1. In the DQ Repository tree view, expand Libraries.
  2. Right-click JRXML Template and select Import Built-in JRXML.
