Setting automatic input-output mappings

The Auto map! button at the top of the output area allows you to create mappings between input and output columns in one go. By default, an output column can be automatically mapped with an input column only if they have exactly the same column name. However, you can set fuzzy match in the Property Settings dialog box of the map editor to enable automatic mappings between input and output columns that do not have exactly the same column names.

Procedure

  1. In the map editor, click Setup the configurations of tMap icon to open the Property Settings dialog box.
Overview of the Property Settings dialog box.
  2. Drag the slide control under Auto Map from Exact Match to your preferred match mode according to the degree of similarity between your input and output column names.

Each match mode corresponds to a combination of Levenshtein and Jaccard settings. You can also set a combination of Levenshtein and Jaccard settings by directly pulling the Levenshtein and Jaccard slide controls.

  3. Click OK to validate the settings and close the Property Settings dialog box.
