Working with the MDM Repository

The MDM Repository enables you to work with your items, including data models, jobs, processes, and stored procedures, in a repository that is separate from the MDM Server database.

The MDM Repository can be stored locally or it can be stored on a remote server. If the repository is stored on a remote server, it can be shared among many users, and in this case the locking of items is managed by Subversion.

When you make changes to the items in the MDM Repository, you must deploy these items to the MDM Server for your changes to be taken into account at runtime.

For more information on setting a connection to an MDM Server, see Creating a connection to an MDM server.
