Creating a report on specific analyses

Before you begin

At least one type of analysis is created in the Profiling perspective.

About this task

You can create a report directly from one or more selected analyses in the Studio. You can create reports on all analysis types except the correlation analyses including Numerical Correlation Analysis, Time Correlation Analysis and Nominal Correlation Analysis.

To create a report on selected analyses, do the following:

Procedure

  1. In the DQ Repository tree view, expand Data Profiling > Analyses.
  2. Select the analyses on which you want to create a report, right-click your selection and select New Report.
If you can not see the New Report option in the contextual menu, verify if you have included a Column Correlation Analysis in your selection and deselect it.
The report editor opens on the selected analyses. The report is named after the first analysis in the list.
  3. Define the report and the presentation settings in the corresponding views according to the procedure outlined in Creating a new report.
  4. From the toolbar of the open report editor, click the save icon to save the report and then click to generate the report file.
The created report is stored in the Generated Document folder in the DQ Repository tree view.
You can now generate a report file (.pdf, .xml, .html or .xls) for this report as outlined in Generating report files.
