Adding annotations to an entity

You can add annotations to an entity to define the language specific labels, multilingual descriptions, and primary key information for the entity.

Additionally, you can add annotations to an entity to define the authorization of roles regarding web interface access to business entities. For more information, see Defining access control at the entity level in Properties view.

Before you begin

You have created a data model and added at least one entity to the data model.

About this task

As an example of how to add annotations to a business entity, the following introduces how to add labels to the Agency entity.

Procedure

  1. In the Data Model Entities area, double-click the entity to which you want to add labels.
  2. From the Properties view, select the Presentation tab.
  3. Click the Labels tab.
  4. Select English from the language list, then enter an English label in the field, and click the [+] button to add the label.
    In this example, add two labels to the Agency entity: an English label of D* Agency and a French label of Agence D*.
  5. Press Ctrl+S to save your changes.
