Talend Management Console

Upcoming changes

To align Talend Management Console security behavior with Qlik Management Console and follow RBAC standards, the R2025-09 release will include the following changes:
  • New Assets Manager user role

The new Assets Manager user role will allow you to manage Connection and Resource objects.

  • Deprecation of Manage workspace permission

The Manage workspace permission will be deprecated then removed.

Only users with the new Assets Manager role and the Author workspace permission will be able to edit the Connection and Resource objects.

  • Renaming of Operations - Manage user permission and new Connections & Resources - Edit user permission

The Operations - Manage user permission will be renamed Tasks & Plans - Edit.

The new Connections & Resources - Edit user permission will allow you to read, use, and edit the connections and resources, depending on the workspace permissions assigned to you.

  • New capabilities to move connections and resources in Talend Management Console UI and API

The new move Connection and move Resource capacities will allow you to re-dispatch the Connection and Resource objects to the appropriate workspace.

You can create an ideation (https://ideation.qlik.com/) available through the Community to raise concerns or request more detailed permissions, such as separating tasks and plans which is not planned for now but could be an option if customers request it, and if you have currently Manage permission without Author on some workspaces.

You can also contact your representative for assistance.
