Preparing your installation

Before you begin

Download Apache Kafka from the Downloads page and install it.

Download a MongoDB instance from the Download center and install it.
For more information, see Installing and configuring MongoDB to prepare for installation.

If you want to secure connections with MongoDB using SSL, MongoDB Enterprise Server has to be manually installed on your machine. For more information, see Security in the MongoDB documentation.
Download the latest version of MinIO from the Downloads page and install it.
For more information on how to install it, see MinIO documentation.
