Fixing incorrect data quality rules

In the list of data models from the Data models tab, you may see the Incorrect rule label Incorrect rule label..

It is displayed when there is an issue with data quality rules.

Procedure

  1. Click the data model and open the Rules tab. The incorrect rule is highlighted.

  2. Click the rule to open its definition.
  3. Define the undefined fields and click Save.
  4. When there is an issue with a semantic type, remember the rule name and click the Data quality rules tab from the left panel.
  5. Click the rule to open it.
    List of possible issues
    Type of issue Mode Meaning Solution
    missing Basic The semantic has been deleted. Select another semantic type or delete the row.
    unavailable Basic The semantic type cannot be used for validation. Enable Use for validation in the settings of the semantic type or delete the row.
    When Use for validation is enabled:
    1. Open the rule from the Data quality rules tab.
    2. Validate the rule configuration.
    DELETED_TYPE__NAMEOFSEMANTICTYPE Advanced The semantic has been deleted. Select another semantic type or delete the row.
    NON_COMPLETE_TYPE__NAMEOFSEMANTICTYPE Advanced The semantic type cannot be used for validation. Enable Use for validation in the settings of the semantic type or delete the row.
    When Use for validation is enabled:
    1. Open the rule from the Data quality rules tab.
    2. Validate the rule configuration.
    Use for validation toggle.
