Preparing your installation
Procedure

In order to install Talend Change Data Capture
modules, you need to follow the three steps and the diagram below:
- Step 1: Make sure your source database(s) are installed and configured on the OS of your choice, according to Hardware and software requirements for source databases.
- Step 2: Install Talend Change Data Capture Manager GUI on Installing the Manager GUI and its modules on Windows NT Server and the Installing the source engines on Windows NT.
Information noteNote: The Manager and the source databases can be installed on the same machine or on separate ones.
- Step 3: If they were not already installed at Step 1, install and configure your target database(s) on the OS of your choice, according to Hardware and software requirements for target databases.
- Step 4: Make sure port 1310 allows inbound and outbound communications
on the Manager and the engine machines. Information noteWarning: For security reasons, make sure your machines are in a private network (LAN or VLAN for example).

To install your Talend product, you need to download your license key file and
the relevant software packages:
- Your personal license key that you received by email.
This file has no file extension, and it is required to access each Talend module. Keep this file in a safe place.
You will need it when Under 7.16.1 version: fields completion
- The software packages that correspond to the Talend Change Data Capture modules you need to install.
- Setup.exe for the installation on Windows.
- SetupAS.exe for the installation on AS/400 IBMi.
- Your personal license key that you received by email.

- Talend Community. This is the place where you can ask questions to the community, and get answers.
- Talend Professional Support. If you are a Talend subscription customer, you can open a ticket to the Talend Support. Talend Support Services cover only Talend software as defined in the End User Software and Subscription Agreement.
- Talend Consulting Portal. If you are a Talend subscription customer, you can ask for a consultant to help through the installation of your Talend product.
