Removing a table from a log stream task

Tables that you no longer want to be included in the log stream task must be removed manually from both the replication tasks and the log stream staging task.

To do this:

  1. Stop the replication tasks.
  2. Remove the table from tables list of all of the replication tasks, and then resume the tasks.
  3. Leave the tasks running for a while to minimize latency.
  4. When you are sure there is no (or minimal) latency or activity:
    1. Stop the log stream staging task.
    2. Remove the table from the tables list and resume the task.

Re-adding a removed table

If you want to add the removed table back at some point, do as follows:

  1. Add the table to the staging and replication tasks.
  2. Manually reload the added table in the replication tasks. For an explanation of how to reload a table, see Reloading or unsuspending tables.
