Security requirements

• The Hadoop NameNode (and data nodes when using WebHDFS) must be accessible from the Qlik Replicate machine and the user specified in the Hadoop target settings must have write permission for the specified HDFS target directory.

• Hive table permissions: Replicate requires permissions to perform the following operations on Hive tables: INSERT from SELECT, CREATE, DROP, DESCRIBE, and ALTER table. ALTER table may also include RENAME table, ADD/RENAME column, and CREATE/DROP partitions on tables.
