You are now ready to install your connector. Do the following:
- Create a new folder with the same name as your connector (for example, QvEventLogConnector) in the Custom Data folder of Qlik Sense or QlikView. If the Custom Data folder does not exist, you need to create it as well.
- QlikView 11.20 or earlier: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\QlikTech\Custom Data\QvEventLogConnector.
- QlikView: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Qlik\Custom Data\QvEventLogConnector
- Then copy the following files into the newly created folder:
<Solution Path>\QvEventLogConnector\bin\Release\QvxLibrary.dll
<Solution Path>\QvEventLogConnector\bin\Release\QvEventLogConnector.exe
If you are installing the connector in QlikView, you also need to copy the folder:
<Solution Path>\QvEventLogConnector\bin\Release\web
The connector is now ready to use.
Information noteConnectors are executed with the same access rights as Qlik Sense/QlikView. This means that you need to consider security aspects before installing a connector, as the connector automatically will gain access to the same resources as Qlik Sense/QlikView, which could be exploited by a malign connector.
