Benefits:
- Catches breaking changes and dated deprecations before they hit production
- Keeps admins aware of upcoming feature toggles, role changes, and EOL dates
- Provides a single monthly cadence for cross-team communication of Qlik Cloud changes
Goal
Qlik Cloud is a continuously delivered SaaS platform. Features ship, deprecate, and break with little or no in-product warning. Admins need a monthly review against three primary feeds:
- What's new in Qlik Cloud—official feature delivery log.
- Qlik Community Support Updates—deprecation notices, breaking changes, scheduled cutovers, and incident retrospectives.
- qlik.dev changelog—API and SDK-level changes, often with shorter deadlines than the user-facing changelog.
The monthly review records dated deadlines in your own internal tracking, validates the tenant against any new behavior, and tests breaking changes in a non-production tenant where one is available. This playbook does not maintain a deprecation calendar; stay current on Qlik Cloud platform changes by reviewing the feeds above directly.
