Subscription and entitlement sharing
Last updated: 2026-11-03Cadence: Weekly (allocation review) and Yearly (license reconciliation)
Subscription model: Multi-tenant subscriptions
Roles: Tenant Admin (TA), Service Account Owner (SAO)
Last verified: 2026-05
| Initial | Recurring | |

| Estimated time | 2 hr | 30 min weekly / 2 hr yearly |
Benefits:
- Prevents one tenant from consuming the entire pooled entitlement
- Surfaces value-meter consumption attributable to each tenant
- Aligns multi-tenant allocation with revised business priorities at renewal
Goal
All tenants under a single Qlik Cloud subscription share one entitlement. That has direct administrative consequences:
- User-license counts (Professional / Analyzer for user-based; pooled User capacity for capacity-based) are pooled. One tenant can consume them all unless
autoAssignProfessional/autoAssignAnalyzeris disabled at the tenant level for user-based subscriptions. (Configure tenant settings on qlik.dev) - Value meters such as Data for Analysis, Data Moved, automation runs, deployed models, and report counts are pooled across all tenants in the subscription. (Subscription value meters)
- The number of tenants you can create is itself an entitlement attribute (for example,
1 tenant
vs1,000 tenants
); contact Qlik Sales to enable multi-tenant provisioning if your subscription doesn't already have it. (Platform operations overview)
