Talend Server modules
Given that Oracle has a stated compatibility statement for Red Hat RHEL, Qlik considers that Oracle Linux is supported, for those versions which correspond to RHEL versions that Qlik lists in the User Documentation.
The server modules include:
- Talend CI (Talend CommandLine)
- Talend Runtime
- Talend SAP RFC Server
Note that Talend Remote Engine is part of Talend Cloud and has its specific lifecycle. For operating systems compatible with Talend Remote Engine, see Talend Remote Engine and Remote Engine Gen2.

- Docker Compose plugin v2.21 and onwards.
If both binary and plugin are installed, Docker Compose plugin is selected by default.
- Docker 28.x.
- Docker Compose plugin v2.21 and onwards.
- Ensure that the operating system you are using for Remote Engine Gen2
is supported by the required Docker versions.
For more information about the operating systems officially supported by Docker versions, see Docker's documentation.
Information noteTip: Experimental operating systems by Docker are not supported.Qlik supports only the operating systems officially supported by Docker, and has tested Remote Engine Gen2 on the following operating systems:
Compatible Linux operating systems for Remote Engine Gen2 Operating system (64 bit) Supported version(s) Ubuntu 22.04, 24.04, 24.10 Debian 11, 12 RHEL 8, 9 Fedora 41, 42
Remote Engine Gen2 does not support Windows due to its lack of support for Windows with Docker containers. While a Windows archive file is available for download, it only includes a .bat file intended for development purposes.
Statement regarding Virtualization and Docker deployments
Qlik supports running on virtual machines and Docker containers. For both Virtualization Systems and Linux based Docker containers, Qlik relies on the vendors’ compatibility statements to ensure the correct running and execution of the Talend software.
Qlik does not deliver prepackaged Docker Images or Dockerfile for Talend applications.
