Configuring the Git commit mode

You can configure the Git commit mode in Talend Studio.

1. On the toolbar of the Talend Studio main window, click or click File > Edit Project Properties from the menu bar to open the Project Settings dialog box.
2. In the tree view of the dialog box, select Git Settings to open the Git Settings view.
3. Select or clear the Use manual commit mode check box according to your needs.

   With this check box selected, your confirmation is required before your changes are committed to Git and pushed to the remote server. Otherwise, your changes are automatically committed to Git.

   If you have installed the 8.0 R2022-06 Talend Studio monthly update or a later one provided by Talend, the check box is selected by default, and when creating a branch, the new branch inherits the commit mode of the source branch. Otherwise, the Use manual commit mode check box is cleared by default.

4. Click Apply and Close to apply your changes and close the dialog box.
   If you change the commit mode to manual, a Talend Git Staging view automatically opens in the configuration area.
