Manual migration of a full Talend Runtime installation

Some versions of Talend Runtime, such as 8.0.1-R2023-08-RT and 8.0.1-R2025-02-RT, cannot be obtained from a patch nor be migrated automatically. Therefore, these versions must be installed manually from scratch.

About this task

For example, version 8.0.1-R2025-02-RT requires a manual installation from scratch because it uses Camel 4 instead of Camel 3. For more information, see Using a more recent version of Java.

Procedure

  1. Install the new Talend Runtime as described in Talend Installation Guide.
  2. Re-deploy all your artifacts in the new Talend Runtime.

What to do next

Patch the new installation with the latest patch.
