Selecting and configuring the database

Procedure

From the Select Database Type window, select the type of database from the Database Type drop-down list, then click Next.
If you select a database other than the MySQL database, you must manually install the database drivers in <TomcatPath>/webapps/talendmdm/WEB-INF/lib before using Talend products.
Information noteNote: If you have more than one driver version installed you might experience errors.
After selecting a database, configure it in the Configure connection to RDBMS window:
- For the MySQL database:
  1. Choose the database generation policy. You have a choice between creating a database for each container, or using a single database for all containers.
  2. Enter the User name and Password to use for connecting to the database.
- For the embedded H2, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL databases:
  1. Choose the database generation policy. You have a choice between creating a database for each container, or using a single database for all containers.
  2. Enter the Host, Port, User and Password to use for connecting to the database.
- For Oracle or DB2 databases:
  1. Read the information at the top of the dialog box.
  2. Enter the parameters required for connecting to the database.

When you are finished with configuring the database, click Next.
