Disabling Internet access for the Studio

About this task

You can disable Internet access for your Talend Studio by editing the Studio .ini file.

Information noteWarning: Do this only if you have no needs of accessing the Internet to download and install custom components, third-party libraries, and so on.

Procedure

  1. Open the Studio .ini file corresponding to your operating system, and add the following line to it:
    -Dtalend.disable.internet=true 
  2. Restart your Talend Studio.
    When launched again, the Studio will not show:
    • The Exchange link on the toolbar
    • The Talend > Exchange node in the Preferences dialog
    • The options for installing third party libraries in the Additional Packages dialog box
    • The Talend News link on the welcome screen
