Opening the Qlik Sense Mobile app

Connect to a Qlik Sense Enterprise server to open the Qlik Sense Mobile app for the first time.

After you have connected once, you can open the Mobile app when you do not have a connection to a server, and then view Qlik Sense apps that you have downloaded.

Security for the Qlik Sense Mobile app

When you are not connected to a Qlik Sense Enterprise server, the Qlik Sense Mobile app is not protected by a Qlik Sense password. When you are connected to a Qlik Sense Enterprise server, there is an option to remember your user name and password.

In both cases, an unauthorized user could access the mobile app if they have access to your iOS device. Protect your data by ensuring that your iOS device is protected by a password. Lock the device when you are not using it.

Logging in to the Qlik Sense Mobile app

Enter your Qlik Sense user name and password to log into the Qlik Sense Mobile app.

You are then prompted to decide if the Qlik Sense Mobile app will store your user name and password:

• Tap the Remember button to have the Qlik Sense Mobile app remember you user name and password.
• Tap the Not now button to have the Qlik Sense Mobile app forget your user name and password. You will be prompted with this option the next time you log in.
• Tap the Never button to have the Qlik Sense Mobile app forget your user name and password. You will be prompted with this option the next time you log in.

If you choose Never and would later like to change that so that you are prompted to have the Qlik Sense Mobile app remember your user name and password, reset the option by logging out from your profile page, and then tapping ¥ on the Select a Qlik Sense server page. Tap the Prompt to save login button and you will be prompted at your next login.

Qlik Sense demo server

When you install the Qlik Sense Mobile app, a server with demo apps for Qlik Sense will be available in your server list. Qlik hosts the server. It does not require a login or password.

Qlik Sense apps from the demo server are available in Streams under Everyone. You have to connect to the demo server at least once before you can access the demo Qlik Sense apps without an internet connection.

Opening the Qlik Sense Mobile app while offline

If you are disconnected from the Qlik Sense Enterprise server, you can still start the Qlik Sense Mobile app and view the Qlik Sense apps that you have downloaded.

You have to log into the Qlik Sense Enterprise server at least once before you can open the mobile app while offline.

Do the following:

• Tap the Qlik Sense Mobile app icon on your iOS device. The mobile app opens.

Time period for offline use

You can use the Qlik Sense Mobile app while offline for up to 10 days (240 hours). This time period starts when you open the Qlik Sense Mobile app offline for the first time following your last log in to the Qlik Sense Enterprise server.

For example, if you log into the server on June 1, and then open the Qlik Sense Mobile app offline for the first time on June 3, you can continue to work offline until June 13.

You have to log back into the server when the 10 day period expires.

Removing user name and password

If you would like the mobile app to forget your login information, do the following:

1. Tap your profile icon in the mobile app. The Account and settings page opens.
2. Tap Log out. You are logged out, and the Select a Qlik Sense server page opens.
3. Tap ¥ beside a server, and then select Forget login.
