Exporting data from a visualization
You can export data from a visualization to Excel and save it in an .xlsx file.
Do the following:
-
Long-touch/right-click the visualization that you want to export data from.
-
Select I Export data.
-
In the Export complete dialog, click the link to download the data file.
-
Open or save the file.
The data has been exported to an .xlsx file.
When you export tables from Qlik Sense, the resulting .xlsx files will have dimensions before measures, regardless of the order in the Qlik Sense table visualization. This is due to how the Qlik Sense engine service associates data. To work around this current limitation, create calculated dimensions from your measures and use the dimensions instead of measures in the table.
Default limitations in number of rows and columns
The default maximum number of rows and columns in the Excel export file is:
- 1048566 rows per sheet. For pivot tables: 1048566 column dimensions. 10 rows can be added after the export.
- 16384 columns per sheet. If the number of columns exceeds the limit, the exported file is truncated and a warning message is sent.
