Preparing for authentication

To access your Sophos data, you need to authenticate the connection with your account credentials.

Make sure that the account you use has read access to the tables you want to fetch.

To get your client ID and secret:

Sign in to Sophos.
Navigate to My Products > General Settings > API Credentials Management.
Click Add Credential and enter a name and a description.
Choose which role you want to assign. For more information about the roles, see API Credentials Management.
Click Add. The credential, client ID, and secret are generated.

Fill in the required connection properties.
Provide a name for the connection in Connection name.
Select Open connection metadata to define metadata for the connection when it has been created.
Click Create.
