Managing data confidentiality to ensure data protection

Ensure that you store data securely and understand who has access to it and why.

The definition of sensitive data is broad and may differ from one country to the other or from one organization to the other.

Sensitive data or PII can be personal information or business information which includes anything that poses a risk to the person or company in question.

Your objectives are to:
  • Find and protect sensitive data using a sensitivity label or using a data class configured to hide data.
  • Tag a data asset with a label to indicate that it is compliant with the data protection rules.
  • Certify a data asset to indicate that it contains trusted data.
