Adding the Dropbox Job task

In Talend Management Console, you use a Job task to execute the Job.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Video_Viewers_Watch_Results_Log_Filter artifact details page.
  2. Click Add task.
  3. In the Artifact step, review the information related to the artifact then click Continue.
  4. In the Parameters step, review the parameters then click Continue.

  5. In the Connections step, select the previously created Dropbox connection then click Continue.
  6. In the Processing step, select the engine on which to run your task from the Engine drop-down list.
    • Cloud
    • Cloud Exclusive

      No other task will be executed on that Cloud Engine.

    • A pre-configured Remote Engine
  7. Optional: In the Schedule step, select the execution frequency.

  8. Click Save and close.
  9. Click Run now.

Results

The Job has run successfully with the selected Dropbox connection. You can see the new StreamingResultsLog_FilteredRecords.csv file added to your Dropbox application.

Using connection parameters makes your Job more generic. You are ready to select different values to push and pull resources to and from another external system.
