The list below shows the compatibility between big data distributions and the Hive versions.

The following big data distributions are supported for Hive 2 and Hive 3:

Amazon EMR 6.2.0, Hive 3.1.2.
Amazon EMR 5.29.0, Hive 2.3.6.
Cloudera Distributed Hadoop 7.x. Kerberos authentication is supported.
