Adding and applying a custom update version

Add and apply a custom update version to all your projects, for example when using a Nexus, for an old version or for a specific monthly update.

You must install the R2024-05 Studio monthly update or a later one manually to each Talend Studio to use this feature.

Before you begin

  • You have Talend Studio 8.0.
  • You have installed the R2024-05 Talend Studio monthly update or a later one manually to each Talend Studio.
  • You have been assigned a role with the Software update permission to manage the update version, such as the Administrator or Administrative user role.

Procedure

  1. From the menu, go to Settings > Software update.
  2. Open the Studio Patch tab.
  3. Below Available updates, click Add update version.
  4. In the Name field, enter the name of the update version with empty spaces or special characters.
  5. In the Update URL field, enter the URL of the repository for Talend Studio feature updates.
    For more information on how to configure the Update URL field, see Configuring update repositories.
  6. Click Apply.
    Changes can take up to 30 minutes to take effect in Talend Studio.

    Talend Studio collaborators will get notified about the applied version.

    As all Talend Studio instances connected to the same project must use the same version, collaborators must accept the applied version. It will become the only version available in Talend Studio.
