Installing Talend Data Preparation using Talend Installer

About this task

If you have selected Talend Data Preparation earlier in the Installer, you are now prompted to configure the application.

Procedure

  1. Configure the MongoDB instance. By default, the embedded MongoDB instance is selected.
  2. If you did not configure Talend Data Stewardship beforehand, configure the Kafka instance. By default, the embedded Kafka and ZooKeeper instances are selected.
Information noteWarning: In a production environment, using the embedded Kafka instance on Windows is not recommended. Instead, you can use a Linux host with a Kafka instance installed on it and enter its parameters under external Kafka configuration.
  3. Enter the server public hostname and the different ports.
  4. Enter the Talend Data Preparation Server parameters including the Client ID and Client Secret generated by Talend Management Console. For more information, see Configuring hybrid in Talend Management Console.
  5. Click Next to start the installation.

Results

Talend Data Preparation is configured and ready to be automatically installed.
