Tasks
Tasks are used to perform a wide variety of operations and can be chained together in just any pattern. The tasks are handled by the Qlik Sense Scheduler Service (QSS). There are two types of tasks:
- Reload
- User synchronization
The Tasks overview lists all the available tasks. You can manage your tasks by performing a number of actions, as described in the following:
Name |
The task name. Click to display the task chaining summary, this is only applicable for reload tasks with a task chain trigger applied. |
Associated resource |
The name of the app or the user directory connector that the task is used upon. |
Type | Type of task:

Enabled | The task is enabled if the checkbox is checked. |
Status |
The status of the task: Never started Triggered Started Queued Abort initiated Aborting Aborted Success Failed Skipped Retrying Error Reset |
Last execution |
The date and time of the last execution of the task. If never executed no information is displayed. |
Next execution |
The trigger type that starts the next execution of the task:

Tags | Tags connected to the task. |
Refreshing page: Click to manually refresh the page. | |
Sorting columns: Click to sort the list alphabetically, ascending or descending according to the nature of the column. |

Filtering columns: Click to open a dialog and filter the list based on that column and your filter criteria as you type. Click to remove the filter. Click outside of the filter dialog (or press the keyboard key "Esc") to close the dialog. The filter icon is inverted when a filter is applied to a column . You can apply filters to multiple columns to narrow your search. |

Edit | Editing tasks: Click to edit the selected task. |
Delete | Deleting tasks: Click to delete the selected task. |
Start | Starting tasks: Click to manually start the selected tasks. |
Stop | Stopping tasks: Click to manually stop the selected tasks. |
Create new | Creating new reload tasks: Click to create a new reload task. |
More actions > Enable | Enabling tasks: Click to enable the selected tasks. |
More actions > Disable | Disabling tasks: Click to disable the selected tasks. |
Show more items |
Show more items: The overview shows a set number of items by default. To show more items, scroll to the end of the list and click Show more items. Sorting and filtering of items is always done on the full database list of items, not only the items that are on display. |
