You start Qlik Sense Desktop from the start menu under the Qlik Sense program group.
When Qlik Sense Desktop has started, you arrive at the hub, where you have access to all your content (apps). If there are no apps there yet, you can begin by creating your first app. .
Information noteQlik Sense Desktop will run in the language of your operating system and the language cannot be altered, unless you open and run it in a web browser.
Opening Qlik Sense Desktop in a web browser
By default, Qlik Sense Desktop runs in a window of its own. But you can also open it in a web browser.
Do the following:
- Start Qlik Sense Desktop from the start menu.
- Open a (supported) web browser.
- Type http://localhost:4848/hub in the browser address bar.
Qlik Sense Desktop opens in the web browser, showing the hub with all your apps.
Tip note
If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer and the icons in the hub are not displayed correctly, you modify a setting under Internet options for Microsoft Internet Explorer. Add the website address for the hub under Trusted sites.
