Activating license (LEF) for a Qlik Sense site

When you have installed Qlik Sense you need to activate the license. This is performed from the Qlik Management Console (QMC).

The first time you start the QMC, the License properties page is displayed. All fields are empty and you must enter the license information.

Do the following:

1. Start the Qlik Management Console (QMC).

   The License properties page is automatically displayed the first time you launch the QMC.

2. On the License properties page, define all mandatory fields.

3. Click Get LEF from server to download a LEF file from the Qlik Sense LEF server. Alternatively, copy the LEF information from a LEF file and paste it in the LEF field.

   LEF was successfully retrieved is displayed.

   Information noteFailed to get LEF from server is displayed if the serial number or control number is incorrect.

4. Click Apply in the action bar to apply and save your changes.

   Successfully licensed is displayed.

   Information noteThe padlock symbol turns red to indicate that the properties have been closed for editing.
   Information noteFailed to apply changes is displayed if any value is incorrect.

You have now activated the license and made the Tokens available. You are now the RootAdmin of the node.
