Username and password authentication for Talend Cloud

The username and password authentication option for connecting to Talend Cloud is removed from Talend Studio 8.0 onwards.

The Additional Talend Packages wizard The Additional Talend Packages wizard for installing additional packages in Talend Studio is removed from Talend 8.0 onwards.

Alternatively, you can use

  • the new Feature Manager wizard to install all packages except the third-party libraries, and
  • the new Third-party Libraries wizard to install all third-party libraries in one go.

Bonita BPM Integration Bonita BPM Integration is removed from Talend 8.0 onwards.

Talend CommandLine as a server Talend CommandLine as a server is removed from Talend 8.0 onwards.

Committing POM files to Git Talend Studio does not commit POM files to Git from 8.0 onwards and the following settings on the Build > Maven view in the Project Settings dialog box are removed:
  • Filter to use to generate poms which allows you to generate POM files only for specific project items.
  • Set reference project modules in profile which helps avoid duplicate projects module definition in the POM file when a project is referenced by multiple reference projects in a main project.
  • Exclude deleted items which allows you to exclude the modules of the deleted items when generating the POM file.

Alternatively, you can generate POM files using the regenerateAllPoms Continuous Integration Maven command with the -DitemFilter, -Dtalend.profile.module, and -Dtalend.exlude.deleted parameters.

Talend Repository Manager Talend Repository Manager is removed from Talend 8.0 onwards.

Alternatively, Talend recommends using Continuous Integration and Deployment to promote artifacts between Talend Administration Center environments. Then to use MetaServlet to create the corresponding tasks.

Creating execution tasks from Jobs based on SVN/GIT repository The option to create execution tasks from Jobs based on SVN/GIT repository in the Job Conductor is removed from Talend 8.0 onwards.
