Creating a backend pool

Create a backend pool to add virtual machines to your load balancer.

About this task

To distribute traffic to the virtual machines, a backend address pool contains the IP addresses of the virtual NICs connected to the load balancer.

Procedure

  1. In the list of available load balancers, click the one you created in the previous task.
  2. Click Backend pools in the left panel, then click Add to create a new one.
  3. Enter a name, DemoREST-BP for example.
  4. Select the virtual network you created.
  5. Click Add under Virtual machines and select the two virtual machines you created for your Remote Engines, then click Add.

  6. Click Add.
