Creating an Azure API Management service

Procedure

  1. Log in to Microsoft Azure and open the API Management service.
  2. Click Add.
  3. In the Project details section, select your subscription and resource group.
  4. Configure the Instance details section with the relevant details:
    Parameter Value
    Region Select the relevant region, (Europe) West Europe for example.
    Resource name Enter a name for the service, for example DemoREST-APIM.
    Organization name Enter the name of your organization. It will appear in the developer portal and as the sender in notification emails.
    Administrator email Enter the email address to which all notifications from this service should be sent.
  5. Select your pricing tier.
  6. Click Review + create.

  7. Make sure that your configuration is correct and click Create.

Results

Your API Management service is created, it can take some time to be deployed. Once the deployment and activation are done, you can create and configure your API.
