Creating the API

Create an API for your movie catalog and define its general settings.

1. From the Talend Cloud portal or app switcher, launch Talend Cloud API Designer.
2. On the Talend Cloud API Designer homepage, click New API.
3. Enter a name for your API, Movie catalog API for example, and click Create.
   You can also edit the version if needed.

   

   Your new API opens and you can start editing it.
4. Click the pencil icon in the GENERAL section and add a description for your API.
   In this section, you can also edit the version number, add contact information and enter terms of service.
5. In the MEDIA TYPES section, replace the default application/json with application/xml.
6. Click Add next to ENDPOINTS and enter a Base URL, with a description if needed.

   

7. Click Save.
