Enabling your API mock and generating a test project

Enable the API mock feature on your API and generate a test project in Talend Cloud API Tester.

Before you begin

You have installed the Talend Cloud API Tester Google Chrome extension. For more information, see the Talend Cloud API Tester User Guide.

Procedure

  1. Click the Settings button.
  2. Under MOCK, toggle the Enabled button to On.
  3. Click Save.
    An endpoint is generated for your mock.
  4. Click Try the mock in API Tester to generate a test project in Talend Cloud API Tester.

Results

Talend Cloud API Tester opens and creates a new project. It includes all the operations defined, as well as an environment containing a BaseUrl variable with the mock endpoint and a variable for your security scheme.
