Duplicating a task

About this task

To avoid creating a new task from scratch, you can duplicate an existing one and work around its metadata to have a new task in the list. Note that this option is only available for normal tasks that are added on a Job based on SVN (deprecated) or GIT repository.

Procedure

  1. On the Job Conductor page, select the task you want to duplicate.
  2. On the toolbar, click Duplicate. The panel to the right shows the metadata of the selected task.
    Information noteWarning:

The Duplicate button is only clickable for normal tasks that are added on a Job based on SVN (deprecated) or GIT repository. If you select an artifact task, or a normal task added on a pre-generated Job or a Job published to Nexus, the Duplicate button is greyed out.

  3. Modify the metadata as needed in order to create a new task.
  4. Click Save to validate the operation or Cancel to cancel it.

Results

The new task is listed in the Execution tasks list.
