## New features

| Feature | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Permission model migration | In the [R2025-07](https://help.qlik.com/talend/en-US/release-notes/8.0/r2025-07-cloud-management-console)
release, Qlik
announced upcoming changes to its permission model, including new roles, renamed
permissions, and the planned deprecation of the Manage
workspace permission.

These changes align Talend Management Console with the Qlik Management Console's standard RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) model. In
this model, user permissions determine what can be accessed, and workspace
permissions determine where content can be accessed.

In this R2025-09
release, this new permission model has been implemented:

The new Assets Manager user role is now available.

The Operations - Manage user permission has been renamed Tasks & Plans - Edit.

The new Connections & Resources - Edit user permission has been created. This permission, together with the appropriate workspace permission, allows you to read, use, and edit connections and resources.

The Manage workspace permission is now deprecated and is planned to be removed in December 2025.
Begin migrating your permission configuration now. Follow the dedicated Migrating the Manage workspace permission procedure for instructions. This document also explains how existing users may be impacted.

|
| New operation regions | Talend Management Console and associated services have extended their global reach to two new regions:
Europe (London) and Middle East (UAE). This expansion provides users in these
areas with localized access, ensuring optimal operational performance and
regulatory compliance.

To ensure seamless connectivity, update your allowlist by adding the URLs
listed on the respective region pages, see

Region: AWS Europe (London) data center.

Region: AWS Middle East (UAE) data center.

|
