Qlik Sense Proxy Service API

This documentation describes the Qlik Sense Proxy Service (QPS) API.

The QPS API is delivered as a REpresentational State Transfer (REST) web service that contains a number of endpoints (also referred to as paths) that are used to execute various functions. To communicate with these endpoints, HTTP calls that contain GET, POST, PUT, or DELETE requests are made.

Information noteIf you have installed a Qlik Sense service – QPS, Qlik Sense Repository Service (QRS), Qlik Sense Engine Service (QES), or Qlik Sense Scheduler Service (QSS) – on your computer, you cannot access a machine in another Qlik Sense site, since the root certificate has the same name in all Qlik Sense sites. This situation may occur when you have two separate sites (for example, a test/development environment and a production environment) and you want to access the production site from a machine in the test/development environment (or vice versa). For general users this is normally not a problem, since they typically do not have Qlik Sense installed on their computers (or browse within the same Qlik Sense site). Example: Computer A has Qlik Sense installed and then another Qlik Sense installation is done on computer B. In this case, you cannot reach the site on computer B from computer A (or vice versa).
