# Instructions

Le jeu d'instructions du module de transformation est un jeu d'instructions simple, puissant et compréhensible par tous·tes les développeur·euses car il n'utilise aucun principe de programmation spécifique. Il s'agit d'une programmation procédurale.

Si vous modifiez le contenu d'un buffer I ou B, il sera modifié en mémoire uniquement pour cette transformation.

Le fichier d'origine (mode EXTRACT) ou le poste de journal (mode JOURNAL) ne sera pas modifié.

Exemple :

```

## Constantes

Les constantes peuvent avoir différents attributs.

| Constante | Description |
| --- | --- |
| ‘ABC’ | Constante alphanumérique |
| -123.45 | Constante numérique |
| X’F1’ | Constante hexadécimale |

## Extrait de champ (sous-chaîne)

Vous pouvez effectuer des opérations sur le champ entier ou sur une partie du champ, à l'aide de la syntaxe ci-dessous :

Cette notation n'est possible qu'avec les zones de type CHAR, VARCHAR et SCRIPT.
