Open Report in IBM Cognos
Last updated: 8/31/2026First the Administrator must setup the IBM Cognos Server URL and Enable it in the Open in Tool tab of the IBM Cognos model within Manage > Repository or Manage > Configuration:
Then Users have access to Open In Tool at various locations such as:
which opens that workbook report in the Tableau server as follows:

You may also use the Related Reports tabon the details page of an object.
Example
Search for Customer
and select the table in Staging DW named
Customer.

You are presented with the Overview tab.
Go to the Related Reports tab.

The Open option is presented for each report end point and clicking there presents the report in the third-party tool.
