# Removing an element from an entity

If needed, you can remove one or more elements from an entity.

## Before you begin

In the data model, at least one entity exists with one or more elements.

## Procedure

1. In the Data Model Entities area, right-click the element you want to remove in the entity and then select Delete from the contextual menu.

   A confirmation dialog box pops up.

2. Click OK to confirm removing the element from the entity.
