# Starting Talend Remote Engine

## Before you begin

* You have installed, configured, and paired your Remote Engine.
* You must start the engine with talenduser.

## Procedure

* Start the Remote Engine service.
* Launch the trun executable file from the <RemoteEngineInstallationDirectory>/bin folder.

## Results

Apache Karaf is started and the console displays Talend-RE.
