# Launching from Website

Launch a Remote Engine using an AMI from the AWS Website.

## About this task

You have selected Amazon Machine Image as fulfillment option and now need to choose how to finalize the Remote Engine configuration and how to launch it.

## Procedure

1. Choose how to launch the EC2 instance: Launch from Website in this case.
2. Select an EC2 Instance Type. The default and recommended instance type is t2.medium.
3. Select a VPC.

   If you do not have any VPC, you must create one by clicking the [Create a VPC in EC2](https://us-east-1.console.aws.amazon.com/vpc/home?region=us-east-1#vpcs) link displayed below the field.
4. Select a Subnet.
5. Select an EC2 key pair.

   If you do not have any key pair, you must create one by clicking the [Create a key pair in EC2](https://us-east-1.console.aws.amazon.com/ec2/v2/home?region=us-east-1#KeyPairs) link displayed below the field.
6. Click Launch.

## Results

A confirmation message is displayed with a link to open the instance. You still need to pair the Remote Engine manually from the instance. To do it, follow the instructions of the [Talend Remote Engine User Guide](https://help.qlik.com/talend/r/en-US/Cloud/remote-engine-user-guide-linux).
