# Enabling remote access using HTTP (optional)

To access Talend Remote Engine using HTTP, you need to edit the configuration file.

## Procedure

1. Open the <RemoteEngineInstallationDirectory>/etc/org.ops4j.pax.web.cfg file to edit it.

   By default, the org.ops4j.pax.web.listening.addresses value is set to localhost,127.0.0.1.
2. Change the org.ops4j.pax.web.listening.addresses value to 0.0.0.0 then save your changes.

## Results

You are now able to connect to Talend Remote Engine from other machines using HTTP.
